Talla Na Mara

Isle of Harris

Located on the edge of the Atlantic and surrounded by golden sandy beaches and vast expanses of rich Machair flowers, Talla na Mara ‘the venue with the view’ offers you a unique setting for your perfect wedding day.

The venue is owned by the local community and managed by a team of professional staff who will extend a traditional Hebridean welcome to you and your guests.

Whether you want to say “I Do” on an untouched beach or be given away at the end of a flower lined aisle surrounded by your friends & family, Talla na Mara is the perfect base for your wedding celebrations.

Talla na Mara offers a blank canvas for you to express yourselves – you decide the details and they provide the service to fulfill your dreams and exceed your expectations. For a relaxed feel, you can choose a banqueting style layout, with wood plank tables and jam jars of handpicked machair flowers. For a more traditional setting you might choose chair covers, sashes and formal flower arrangements. Their staff will help you bring your dream wedding to life.

The main hall and bespoke marquee can cater for intimate celebrations or large clan gatherings of up to 140 for a Hebridean wedding breakfast and 200 evening guests for a traditional ceilidh or modern dance.

A few of our favourite things about Talla Na Mara:

The Hebridean hospitality – the islanders love welcoming visitors!
The golden, sandy beaches for strolling on with the one you love.
The flexibility to create a day that suits your individual style.
It’s a community owned creative space, manned by a professional team.
There are so many incredible places to visit and stay nearby.
