The building’s layout creates dramatic yet romantic and flexible spaces, perfect for every couple’s wedding day. From the calming surroundings of the Commissioners’ Room to the grandeur of the Upper Library, the Signet Library creates the perfect backdrop for both intimate and larger weddings.

The Lower Library provides a memorable setting for religious, humanist and civil wedding ceremonies, where couples take their vows surrounded by thousands of books. A grand staircase leads to The Upper Library – dressed with beautiful flower centrepieces, and complemented by elegant up–lighting, it creates a truly magical space for a wedding reception.

Exquisite food is a very important part of your special day. The venue’s exclusive event partner, Heritage Portfolio’s award–winning chefs are passionate about developing the most appetising menus from Scottish, fresh, seasonal and local produce, wherever possible. They will assist in creating a wedding breakfast menu you’ve always dreamed of, while wedding designers Kirsty and Rebekah are at your disposal to assist throughout the planning, designing and creation of your wedding.
