Set in stunning Speyside, between Inverness and Aberdeen, Craigellachie is a small, country hotel with a big heart. This intimate, yet chic, wedding venue offers Highland hospitality at its very best.
The hotel is made up of four different areas which you can hire privately for your wedding. Their blue room is light and airy with gorgeous prints adorning the walls and bespoke furniture, which makes decorating the room uncomplicated. The banquet room, most commonly used for civil ceremonies, is sophisticated with the added bonus of views towards the Spey and Elchies Woods. The stylish Quaich bar poses as a wonderful drinks reception space, and last but not least, their beautiful living room can again be used for a drinks reception, teas and coffees, or simply for guests to enjoy in their own time.
The passionate, friendly team will help you plan a day full of personal touches, and will build a package that is bespoke to you. The wedding breakfast is put together by head chef, Andy who has a long standing relationship with local suppliers, meaning all menus are put together using only the best local ingredients from Speyside and Scotland.
Guests are invited to stay at the hotel over the weekend in one of The Craigellachie’s beautifully decorated rooms. Wedding parties who fill the hotel for two nights, gain exclusive use of the hotel and all public areas.
A few of our favourite things about Craigellachie:
It’s a stylish hotel set in the heart of Speyside (aka whisky country).
The warm welcome and hospitality makes you want to return again and again.
The food is locally sourced, beautiful presented and tastes incredible.
The whisky bar is very well stocked – there are over 900 to try!
It’s based in a beautiful part of the country which feels remote, yet is easily accessible.
It’s a hidden gem that you and your guests can make yourselves at home in.

On behalf of my wife and I, I just wanted to thank you and all your team for an amazing weekend. Literally couldn't have hoped for a better time. The guests all had a great time too! Thanks for all your help and advice from the first booking right through to our goodbyes. Thanks to Clauda for offering to help with Andrew, Lyndsey for all her help and for announcing us, Dan for having an ace name, Rafael for all the fist pumps and the rest of your crew whose names I didn't get. They were just fantastic and looked after us so well. I'll be sure to recommend the Craigellachie to anyone and everyone!Daniel
“Craigellachie is one of our favourite locations in Scotland. In the heart of whisky country it is surrounded by the most spectacular big trees, which in Autumn are on fire. The River Spey, which runs through the village, is a deep golden brown colour and it almost looks like a river of whisky flowing through the landscape. The hotel itself is such a special place to us. We visit as often as we can and are always treated like family. It’s the perfect place to sit by the fire with a dram and relax in good company. It also happens to be an incredibly cool venue with great attention to detail (being passionate about design, pleases us both greatly!) It’s littered with great pieces of art and local textiles. It also serves the best local food and drink and the service is always so warm and generous, so we couldn’t go wrong. The Quaich Bar in the Hotel is famous for its massive whisky selection and they knocked up some delicious whisky cocktails. As I work for BrewDog, a local brewery, the hotel was kind enough to let me stock the bar with BrewDog beer, which went down a storm with guests.”Jude
