Ardanaiseig is a nineteenth-century manor house hotel in Western Scotland, built on the banks of Loch Awe and surrounded by wildly romantic Highlands scenery.
Whether you arrive by horse-drawn carriage or touch down on the loch in a sea plane, they promise to work carefully with you on the details of your day. Ardanaiseig also has 240 acres of landscaped grounds, hidden gardens and enchanting forests, as well as a unique amphitheatre down by the loch, and they are all yours to use freely. So if you wish to exchange rings among the firs and spruces, or to sip champagne with your guests on the lawn, they will happily accommodate it.
Of course, you do not have to get married at Ardanaiseig. Kilchrenan Parish Church is a quaint and beautiful building, just four miles away. It was built in 1770 but the site has been home to a church since the twelfth century. It’s perfect if you are looking for a taste of tradition. And the views across the Highlands are exceptional. They will have everything ready for your reception upon your return.
A mouth-watering gourmet wedding breakfast is yours in their loch-side restaurant and a special night awaits you newlyweds in The Boat Shed – a chic glass-fronted suite on the edge of Loch Awe with a mezzanine-level bedroom looking right across the glassy waters.
As for your guests, Ardanaiseig has sixteen en-suite double bedrooms, as well as a cottage within the grounds that is perfect for a small family or two couples. Each of the bedrooms is individually designed and adorned with lavish antiques and intricately detailed furniture.

My husband and I were married at the Ardanaiseig this past April. As we live in the States and had never visited the property prior to the wedding, we were a little unsure of what to expect. But the hotel and its staff exceeded every expectation we could have had. We had such an amazing, memorable experience. The staff was friendly and attentive. The grounds were secluded and breathtakingly beautiful. The hotel (both the rooms and the common space) was luxurious and comfortable. The food was delicious. We couldn't be happier with our Highland wedding!Andrea B
From the moment we arrived at Ardanaiseig you managed to make ourselves and our guests feel 'at home'... Our whole wedding weekend was totally how we imagined it would be and that is because of you and the rest of the Ardanaiseig staff. Every little detail was covered. The drawing room looked superb with the seat covers, the canapés were delicious and the meal exceeded expectations. Everyone was talking about it for days afterwards. Some of our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to!Mr & Mrs Mowat
Thank you so much for making our wedding just as we wanted it. We absolutely loved our stay at Ardanaiseig and cannot fault a single thing. The hotel and surroundings could not have been more perfect and the food and fabulous service from yourselves and all other members of staff couldn't have been better! Thank you for making our special day perfect!Mr & Mrs Sellers
It was love at first sight for Laura and James, as they met through mutual friends. Their intimate wedding was the best kept secret – only their witnesses knew. We love everything about their day: from Laura’s floral headpiece to the relaxed pace. We think you may swoon a little…
